July Wrap-Up

This month has been a busy one for me, and the weather has been atrocious, but rainy weather is the best weather for reading. This month I read five books, and I discovered two new to me series that I’ve fallen in love with.

Books Read in July

1.

★★★★☆ 4/5

Six Scorched Roses by Carissa Broadbent

Set in the Crowns of Nyaxia world, this was a short read with a great first look into characters who show up in the second book. My review can be found here.

2.

★★★★★ 4.5/5

The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent

I didn’t think I could love this series more, especially after the first book, but it’s safe to say Broadbent has me hooked and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series. A review can be found here.

3.

★★★★☆ 4/5

Wolfsong by Tj Klune

This was my first book by this author, and it wasn’t what I was expecting at all. There’ll be a review for this soon.

4.

★★★★★ 4.5/5

Ravensong by TJ Klune

The second book in the Green Creek series, and for me, I enjoyed this one so much more. There’ll be a review for this soon.

5.

★★★★☆ 4.5/5

A Soul of Ash and Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I’ve been looking forward to this since it was first announced, and I have a lot of thoughts about it. A review to come soon.

Book Purchases This Month

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is image-5.png

I preordered House of Flame and Shadow as soon as it was announced, and the exclusive edition with bonus content is still available here.

Fairyloot continue to deliver on the sprayed edges, and I have the previous books, so I needed this one. It’s still available here.

Currently Watching

I recently re-watched Moon Knight. I’ve watched it multiple times and I love it as much as I did the first time I watched it.

Me and my sister are currently going through a horror movie phase, so I’m introducing her to some classics and some recents, safe to say it’s going well.

August TBR

So far I’ve read a book already, and I’ve nearly finished another. After that I have the BBNYA second round excerpts to read and score, so they’ll take priority before I move onto a third book.

I’m also a little behind on my reviews, but luckily my ARC shelf is still clear, and I’m resisting the urge to go on a Netgalley requesting spree. I’m hoping to clear at least one older book off my TBR, but we’ll see. I also think a book buying ban might be in order.

And that’s it for July! I hope you had a good reading month and that August is also good.

Thanks for reading!
